Tom, a SF Bay Area native was introduced to the healing arts at the same time he started the studying the martial art of jujitsu in 1980. His studies included acupressure, nutrition, athletic taping, anatomy, reflexology, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Japanese Restorative Massage, Gavilon Soft Tissue Manipulation and Cold Laser Therapy. He later continued his studies at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley studying acupressure, Chair Massage, Chinese Massage (TuiNa), Hawaiian Massage (Lomi Lomi), Cupping, Swedish massage, Shiatsu and Sport Massage.

Tom has also completed courses in Sport Nutrition, Sleep and Exercise Theory/Injury Management at Stanford University, in addition to Human Cadaver Study at Samuel Merritt College.

His unique massage style blends elements of Eastern and Western styles of massage and healing to increase relaxation, circulation, loosens muscles, reduction of scar tissue, and increased flexibility. His focus is on relieving the root cause of the discomfort, customizing each massage to a client’s particular need.

He welcomes any of your questions regarding exercise, nutrition and stress management. He may make recommendations for exercises, postural changes or ergonomic improvements that will also reinforce the benefits of your massage.

His clients have included everything from weekend warriors to professional athletes, stay at home parent to working professionals, men and women, teens and older adults into their 90’s.

 -Certified Sports Nutrition Consultant through ISMA (International Sports Medicine Association) and AAAI (American Aerobic Association International)

-Tecnica Gavilon (IASTM) (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization)

-California State Certified Massage Practitioner: CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council)

-Passed all background checks submitted to local law enforcement, FBI and US Dept. of Justice.

He is a father of 2 children: Sabrina and Tony and a proud grandfather of four girls Annabella Rose, Adalyn Blu, Aurora Jade and Aspen Rayne. He enjoys softball, hiking, biking, tennis, volleyball, traveling and photography. He holds the rank of Professor in Jujitsu and teaches classes at the Menlo Park Recreation Department.
